CDS Scientist Receives the OvGU Research Award 2017
Prof. Dr.-ing. Achim Kienle received this year's 19th 'Otto-von-Guericke-Research Award'. Thus, the highest award of the university goes again - for the third time in a row - to a member of the CDS. The researcher was honoured for his excellent science and outstanding innovations, which made the University of Magdeburg nationally and internationally visible.

One of his doctoral students, Dr.-Ing. Robert Dürr (Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology) was also honored at the 2017 Academic Ceremony. He received one of the coveted doctoral prizes and is thus one of the best junior researchers at the university.
